The proposal from Fortis Properties to build a 15 story building on Water Street in St. John's and demolish historic buildings in the heritage zone of downtown drew fire almost immediately. It is so far beyond the city's development plan and heritage regulations you can't help ask why bother?

CBC did a pretty good job dropping the new Fortis buildings into the view from The Rooms. Kudos to the Photoshop Jockey. I thought I would see what it would look like from other parts of the city. Instead of photoshopping the artists concept into a photo I thought I would like to simply see how it would block out the views. This way you can see what is behind. Scale is accurate in the faded down areas. There is no doubt this building would be the biggest thing in the sky.
