...Snook releases his Christmas album. This is the second CD cover we've shot for him. This time in the studio and no mirrors were used. Always a laugh with Snook and his manager, Pete, in the studio and as the sales pitch says, "Right price, easy to mail." ...and you can, of course, visit the Snook website for more!

If so, check out this simple but effective website we just finished for a client who has a rental property in Naples, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. Far away from the madness of Disney, Florida's Paradise Coast is the place to relax on the beach, explore the everglades, do golf or enjoy the vibrant arts community.Wednesday, October 14

Daniel Ashini 1959 - 2009 I first met Daniel Ashini about 20 years ago when I went to Sheshatshiu, Labrador to photograph him when he won a major international environmental award. Like most people, I had little knowledge of the Innu or their story. Since then our paths crossed a number of times either in St. John's or somewhere in Labrador as he carried on his work to improve the social, economic, environmental and political conditions for the Innu people. He was always a patient and gracious host and opened many doors for me in the Innu communities of Labrador. An afternoon with Daniel, either walking through Sheshatshiu, at a protest camp on a logging road or in the country and you could not help but come away with a clear understanding of the plight of the Innu in Labrador stripped clear of politics and ignorance. He died on Monday in Happy Valley - Goose Bay, Labrador. Friday, October 9

![]() It is perfectly logical ...and LEGAL! that the mayor of Paradise was elected by a recycling bin ...but it doesn't make it democratic. In democratic countries they have run off elections Thursday, October 1

I'll be speaking at the CAMERA 35 photography club Thursday night in St. John's about making "people pictures." This photo is from a recent series of casual portraits for the Association of New Canadians and an upcoming ad campaign for employment services. ...greg |
